THE UNION COUNTY FOUNDATION

VETERAN’S MEMORIALS

Union County Veteran’s Remembrance Fund

A $500,000 monument on the Courthouse Plaza will display the names of KIA, MIA, and POW'S as an eternal reminder of their service to our great country. In addition an estimated 15,000 Union County, Ohio veterans will be cataloged in a searchable computer database. The monument wil be surrounded by personalized engraved pavers purchased by Monument supporters.



North Union District Veteran’s Memorial Fund

A beautifully designed monument to be located in a dedicated section of Richwood Park. The memorial will honor all North Union District veteran's including military men and women from all branches of the service whether active duty, reservists, national guard or merchant marine from any period of time. Honorees must have been born or lived at anytime in his/her life in the North Union district, attended any school in the district, died or buried in any North Union District cemetery. The monument is to be dedicated July 4, 2007.
