2007 GRANT DISTRIBUTIONS Through community support and investment income the Union County Foundation is able to provide grants for various needs within our community. 2007 was a record-breaking year with over a million dollars awarded! A total of 65 scholarships and 229 grants were dispersed. Students from Fairbanks, Marysville and North Union High Schools received over $75,000 to help defray the costs of post-secondary education. Grants covering a variety of areas of interest helped strengthen our Union County communities. The Foundation welcomes grant requests as well as contributions to existing funds in order to continue the support for worthy causes in our communities. Our website (www.unioncountyfoundation.org) contains grant and scholarship guidelines/applications, information about existing funds, as well as information about initiating a new fund.
