WE WILL BEGIN ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR 2017-18 ON DECEMBER 15, 2017. |
Certain funds may stipulate that recipients be graduates of particular area high schools.
Additionally, scholarships may be intended for students pursuing study in certain areas. There may be other requirements.

Walter & Doris Herd Memorial Ag. Scholarship
DEADLINE TO APPLY HAS PASSED.
Scholarships for graduating Marysville High School students with demonstrated interest in agriculture.
The intent is to award one 4-year renewable $1,500 scholarship in 2017.

Jason K. Mathewson Memorial Scholarship DEADLINE TO APPLY HAS PASSED.
Initiated by the Marysville F.F.A. Alumni, Jason's family, and friends, this scholarship is awarded annually to
a graduating MHS student with at least 3 years membership in the F.F.A.
One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded in 2017. |

Marysville Art League Scholarship
DEADLINE HAS PASSED. For seniors at FHS, JAHS, MHS, NUHS and Triad HS.
This scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors from Fairbanks H.S., Marysville H.S., North Union H.S., Triad H.S, and Jonathan Alder H.S.
who are planning on Majoring in an Art related field.
The Marysville Art League Scholarship was created in memory of many dedicated supporters of the MAL and its mission.
The following have had huge impacts on the MAL: The McKitrick & Smart Fund, Walter & Doris Herd, Edith Dyer, Bob Oberlin, Marilyn Shearer &
many other contributors.
The intent is to award one scholarship of $500 in 2017.

Memorial Hospital Medical Staff Scholarship
DEADLINE HAS PASSED.
The Medical Staff of Memorial Hospital wishes to support the educational pursuits of those Union County residents that desire to matriculate into an accredited
field of study in health, with intentions to enter the medical field. ( Ex. medicine, nursing, physical therapy, biological sciences)
The intent is to award at least 3 $1,000 scholarships in 2017.

The Stolte Excellence in Leadership Scholarship
DEADLINE HAS PASSED.
For seniors at FHS, MHS and NUHS.
This fund has been created by Steve Stolte and Mardy Hanlon-Stolte for the purpose of assisting Union County
high school graduating seniors pursuing a post secondary education. The scholarship award may be applied to
any accredited Ohio four-year college or university.
The intent is to award one scholarship of $1,000 in 2017.

The Summer Theater Workshop Scholarship
DEADLINE HAS PASSED.
For seniors at FHS, MHS and NUHS.
The scholarship is available to any Union County graduating senior who has participated in Summer
Theater Workshop.
The intent is to award one scholarship of $500 in 2017.

Sargent V. Chamberlain
Kiwanis Scholarship
DEADLINE HAS PASSED.
Two separate Kiwanis Scholarship funds were developed in 2002 to provide scholarships to promising area students.
The Sargent V. Chamberlain-Kiwanis College Scholarship Fund benefits a student from Fairbanks High School.
These awards are based on qualities such as character, industriousness, class rank, perseverance, need, and integrity.
The intent is to award one scholarship of $1,000 in 2017.

Darla Hall-Barrett Memorial Scholarship for the Arts
DEADLINE HAS PASSED.
Mrs. Hall-Barrett was passionate about the arts, and brought the arts to students through an artist in residency program and through her puppetry.
Her generous donation to Fairbanks allows for this scholarship in her honor.
The intent is to award $1,000 in 2017.

Patricia Biehl Humanities Scholarship
DEADLINE HAS PASSED.
In 2008, a group of former students created this award to recognize an outstanding MHS senior who shares Mrs.
Biehl's passion for the diverse disciplines collectively known as the Humanities.The Patricia Biehl
Humanities Scholarship is available to MHS graduating seniors with at least a 3.20 GPA. The graduates
must intend to major in a discipline relating to the humanities.
The intent is to award one $500 scholarship in 2017.

Pat Conlon Scholarship
DEADLINE HAS PASSED.
The Pat Conlon Scholarship for MHS Students was established by her adult children in honor of their mother
and long-time Marysville resident, Pat Conlon. The scholarship is awarded in Pat Conlon’s honor and memory to recognize
students that exemplify the qualities she modeled and espoused – strong character, academic achievement, leadership,
and school and community involvement.
The intent is to award one four year renewable scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded in 2016.

Andrew Daum Memorial Soccer Scholarship
DEADLINE HAS PASSED.
This scholarship is in memory of Marysville High School soccer athlete Andrew Daum, and is awarded to a
graduating MHS senior soccer team member. Applicants must be scheduled for enrollment in a post-secondary
accredited college, university or technical school.
The intent is to award two $1,000 scholarships in 2017.

Robert & Joan Deaton Scholarship
DEADLINE HAS PASSED.
The Robert & Joan Deaton Memorial Scholarship was founded in 2016 in memory of Robert & Joan. In the mid 1960's Bob and Joan moved from New York City to Marysville to raise their 3 children. Joan spent over 15 years as the Marysville Middle School librarian and both were active members of the community. Bob and Joan built their world around their family and were strong proponents of education.
Scholarship recipients will be chosen on the basis of: Financial Need, Academic Achievement, and Special Family Circumstances.
The intent is to award a minimum of $2,000 annually.

The Charles and Marjorie Green Scholarship
DEADLINE HAS PASSED.
Established in July of 1999, Charles Green’s widow Marjorie, and his family members initiated this scholarship Fund.
Eligible students must be pursuing post high-school trade or technical training including diploma, certificate, and associate degree programs.
(Examples: restaurant mgt., cosmetology, mechanics, auto body, allied medicine, etc.)

Corey Hoehn Memorial Scholarship
DEADLINE HAS PASSED.
This scholarship is available to graduating members of the Marysville High School boys' baseball, basketball or football teams and girls' softball and basketball teams who
are scheduled for enrollment in a post-secondary accredited college or university. Must have a 3.0 GPA or above.
The intent is to award two $1,000 scholarships in 2017.

G.L. Kingsmore Hall of Fame
Scholarship
DEADLINE HAS PASSED.
This scholarship is available to graduating students of Marysville High School -- not restricted to athletes -- who
are scheduled for enrollment in a 2 year or 4 year post-secondary accredited college or university.
Must have a 2.5 GPA or above.
The intent is to award one $1,000 scholarship in 2017.

Marysville High School Alumni Foundation Scholarship
DEADLINE HAS PASSED.
These annual awards by the Marysville High School Alumni support scholarships for graduating Marysville High
School students who have displayed outstanding academic and leadership qualities.
There will be multiple scholarships awarded.
By filling out this application students are automatically considered for the following scholarships (amounts awarded to be determined):

Dr. C.B. Mills Memorial Kiwanis Scholarship

The Mintier Veteran’s Scholarship
DEADLINE HAS PASSED.
This scholarship was created by the Family and friends of Bob Mintier for the purpose of assisting veteran’s
children who are also Marysville High School graduating seniors and display exceptional character and citizenship.
The scholarship award may be applied to any 2-year technical college or accredited four-year college or university.
The intent is to award one scholarship of $500 in 2017.

Jake Nickle Gridiron Scholarship
DEADLINE HAS PASSED.
This scholarship is available to graduating senior members of the MARYSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL TEAM who are scheduled for enrollment in a post secondary college or university and have signed a letter of intent and/or made a commitment to play football for that same college or university.
The intent is to award one $1,000 scholarship in 2017.

Pat and Tom Nuckles Scholarship

This scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors from Marysville High School who are pursuing a post-secondary education. The scholarship may be applied to any accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or technical school.
The intent is to award one four year renewable $1,000 scholarship to a graduating MHS senior in 2017. (A separate scholarship is available to Triad seniors.)

Dave & Elizabeth Ward Eagle Scout Scholarship

The Dave & Elizabeth Ward Eagle Scout Scholarship was established for MARYSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATING SENIORS who are scheduled for enrollment in a four year college or university, and have achieved the scouting rank of Eagle.
The intent is to award one $500 scholarship annually.

This Scholarship is made possible through the kindness and generosity of Sara Mae Burnside and Kathleen Imbody.
These women directed significant gifts from their estates to fund annually awarded scholarships to deserving North

This Scholarship was funded by Ruby Fox in memory of Robert. Robert Fox devoted his life to agriculture and

William Logan Krebehenne Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship fund was created for the purpose of assisting graduating NORTH UNION HIGH SCHOOL seniors (includes VOCATIONAL SCHOOL students connected to NUHS) pursuing a post secondary education in an agriculture or natural resources related major.
Scholarship recipients will be chosen on the basis of the following:
Agricultural Connection,
Financial Need,
Academic Potential,
Community Service,
Character.
The intent is to award one $1,000 scholarship in 2017.

Dan B. Kyle Scholarship
DEADLINE HAS PASSED.
The Dan B. Kyle Memorial Scholarship Fund was placed within the Union County Foundation in April, 1994 by his loving
family. The scholarship is awarded to exceptional graduating seniors of North Union High School who are
planning on attending a four year college. This scholarship is in memory of Mr. Kyle, who was the president of the Richwood Banking Company and was a
leader in the Richwood business community.

The Richwood Area Business Association Scholarship was created for the purpose of assisting graduating seniors from NORTH UNION HIGH SCHOOL and TRI-RIVERS CAREER CENTER who intend to pursue a post-secondary education in the general field of business.
The intent is to award one $500 scholarship in 2017.

Rita Rubeck Parker Scholarship

The Rita Rubeck Parker Scholarship for NORTH UNION HIGH SCHOOL or TRI-RIVERS CAREER CENTER
graduating seniors was established in memory of Bernard “Barney” Rubeck. One of nine children
growing up during the depression, Barney had to leave school after the 8th grade to work and help his
family during difficult times. Bernard Rubeck always stressed the importance of education and knew the cost
of higher education and the financial burden that cost could place on families. Scholarship recipients
will be chosen on the basis of the following:
- Financial Need
- Academic Achievement
- Extra Curricular Activities
- Community Service
The intent is to award one $1,000 scholarship in 2017.
